This course is designed to introduced to students the career path of their chosen degree program. It tackles the different fields of study pursuant with the pertinent provisions of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 21 series of 2005, which mandates that there shall be a rationalized Criminal Justice Education in the country which includes Criminology, Law Enforcement Administration, Correctional Administration, Industrial Security Administration and Forensic Science, among others to meet the demands of globalization as it impacts on the rapidly changing and interdisciplinary fields of criminal justice.

Moreover, Memorandum Order No. 5 Series of 2018, in accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act No. 7722 otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994”, in pursuance of an outcome-based quality assurance system as advocated under CMO No. 46, series 2012, entitled “Policy Standards to enhance Quality Assurance (QA) in Philippine Higher Education through an Outcome-Based and Typology-Based QA”, provides the current governing Policies, Standards and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

The BS Criminology program provides the community with professionally competent and morally upright graduates who can deliver efficient and effective services in crime prevention, crime detection and investigation, law enforcement, public safety, custody and rehabilitation of offenders, criminological research among others.
